Day 8 - REACH IN // What are you hungry for?
Luke 4:1-2 “Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, being tempted for forty days by the devil. And in those days He ate nothing, and afterward when they had ended, He was hungry.”
Many times, whether guided by God or voluntarily, it is a Christian norm to fast and this goes against our human nature to feed ourselves. Spiritual hunger is a Spirit-provoked desire for the presence and the will of God. You see, hunger shows us what we are missing. When we remove all distractions (food, social media, sugar, etc.) and set aside time to focus on Him, we will often find what we are searching for.
Today’s Reach:
Write down the things you feel are being removed so that your life may come into focus. Pray and ask God if there are any more things you may have missed. Give each of these over to God in prayer. What do you see now that those things are removed?
